Soooo, we took the gamble and planted a lot of our fruiting crops early. All in hopes of good weather and early to market crops like corn, beans, tomatoes, peppers, squash etc. Well, it was a bad bet. Low 28 for Friday, Frost warning tonight and all weekend coming.
We spent the evening trying to cover crops so that we can hopefully save them and can make it through the cold Friday. If it wasn't for the low 28 we would just cover with frost covering. Not sure whether it would work, we placed black plastic over the bulk of the crops that were up. We'll see how it goes...
